Episode 1 - “Man of Tomorrow”
Superman holds up stack of Tibrilium (I am not sure if that is how it’s spelled, I tried my best to spell it the way it sounded in my ears)
In this scene, Superman is around 170 pixels tall. The first piece of Tibrilium is 70 pixels tall and 465 pixels wide. Superman’s official height is 6’5 or 75 inches or 190.5 cm. This puts the height of the first piece at 78.44 cm and the width at 521 cm. The pieces of Tibrilium are circular like Weight Plates. This puts the volume of the first piece at 16.727286 Million cm^3. As I said before, Lightning Lad stated that Tibrilium is the hardest substance in the Galaxy. Since we don’t know an exact density. We know it should at least be harder than Osmium, which is the hardest substance on Earth. If we use the density of Osmium, (which, of course, Tibrilium has a higher density) then Tibrilium would have a density of 22.57 g/cm^3. This would put the mass of the first piece at 377.53485 Million grams or 377,534.85 kg. Which would put the weight at 416.25 Tons, but remember, that’s just the first piece. Each piece gets bigger and there is about 3 more pieces after this.
In this next scene, the first piece of Tibrilium is 100 pixels tall and 514 pixels wide. The second piece is 125 pixels tall and 815 pixels wide. With knowing the first piece is 78.44 cm tall and 521 cm wide. This would put the height and width of the 2nd piece at 98.05 cm and 824.5 cm. This puts the volume at 52.349638 cm^3. This puts the mass of the second piece at 1.181531336 Billion grams or 1.181531 Million kg. Which puts the weight at 1,302.68 Tons.
In the same scene as mentioned before. We already know what the second piece is. The third piece is 162 pixels tall and 1,073 pixel tall. This puts the height of the 3rd piece at 127.073 cm and the width at 1,085.5 cm. Therefore, the volume is 117.600191 cm^3. That leads the mass to be 2.654236311 Billion grams or 2.654236 kg. That puts the weight at 2,926.39 Tons.
Now, we get to see how big the last piece is. But we can make an educated guess. The first increase in height was 1.25x and then the next increase in height was 1.296x. With this, we can assume that the height of each piece goes up at a constant rate of 0.046+ to the multiplier. Which means the height of the last piece should be 1.342x the height of the 3rd piece at 170.531966 cm tall. We will use the same logic for the width. This puts the width of the last piece at 1,307.32 cm. This would put the density at 228.907535 Million cm^3. This would put the mass at 5.166443066 Billion grams or 5.166443 Million kg. Which would bring the weight up to 5,696.1886 tons.
Now, when we add all the pieces together. We get that the weight of the entire stack is 10,341.5 Tons. I would also like to point out that the density of the substance is much harder than the density I used for this calculation. So it’s very possible the weight is far greater than this. Another thing I would like to point out is that by this time, Superman was vey unfamiliar with his powers and hadn’t even become superhero yet. We know that he gets even stronger than this as he starts to become a superhero, he gets better at it and starts to become more acquainted with his skill. By the time of season 2 he went from small and skinny to big and muscular.
I know Brainiac 5 said that it was approximately 3,000 tons, but that is just ridiculous. There is no way that stack was only 3,000 tons. In order for that stack to be 3,000 tons the density would have to be much less than 1, and we know it has a density way higher than that considering it’s supposed to be the hardest substance in the galaxy, according to Lightning Lad. The people who worked on the show clearly didn’t know how to do math. Simply put, Superman’s lifting strength is at least higher than 10,341.5+ Tons.
Episode 5 - (“Champions”):
Superman flies from Earth to Space
In this scene, you can see where he flew past the moon. But in order to continue, we need to know how far past the moon he was? In order to do this I will compare the diameter of the moon to how far out Superman was from it. Now, a small bit of the moon was cut off in this scene, but I did the best I could to determine the line of symmetry. The radius of the moon seems to be about 116 pixels wide. The real life radius of the moon is 1,079.4 miles. Unfortunately, the moon was in the background in this image. Therefore it looked smaller than Superman. However, I am able to place a distance between what Superman would be at if the sizes were comparable based on where Superman is at in this scene. With this said, Superman would be 760 pixels from the moon. If 116 pixels is comparable to 1,079.4 miles. Then 760 should be comparable to 7,071.931 miles. The distance from Earth to the Moon is 238,900 miles. Now we add 7,071.931 miles to that, and we get that Superman flew 245,971.931 miles. Granted, when Superman started to fly to space; he was already off the ground, but considering the fact that he wasn’t even close to sky; there shouldn’t be much a difference (if any) in the previously calculated distance. According to my stop watch, it took him about 5.95 seconds to do this. 245,971.931 / 5.95 = 41,339.8203361 Miles Per Second or 148.823353 Million mph. This is close to the previously calculated range for Atomix’s speed.
Resists a piece of matter that was stated by Phantom Girl to be able to swallow 1/2 a planet (Energy)
I will calculate the energy using Kinetic Energy Formula. Which is 1/2 Mass X Velocity^2. This was going to happen to Earth, so it should be safe to use the Earth’s properties to calculate this feat. The mass of earth is 5.97219 Septillion kg. We need 1/2, so we will be using 2.98695 Septillion kg. Now for the velocity. The radius of Earth is 6357 km. Which converts to 3,950.057 miles. According to my stop watch, this lasted a total of 11.84 seconds. So if it takes 11.84 seconds for it destroy 1/2 a planet. Then it has speed of up to 333.619679054 miles per second or 1.201030 Million mph. Which gives it a velocity of 536,908.451 m/s. Now, we need to square this. Which gives us the number 288.270684755 Billion.
2.98695 Septillion X 288.270684755 Billion = 861.05012 Decillion joules of energy. Which is 5-A Large Planet Level.
Episode 11 - (“Chain of Command”)
Survived an explosion that had enough radiation to destroy 1/2 a planet
This calculation works the exact same as the time he resisted a piece of matter. I just have this feat here to show it’s not an outlier. Which should assure us that (Legion of Superheroes) Superman is 5-A Large Planet Level.
Episode 12 - (“Sundown Pt. 1”)
Survived the cloud of the Sun Eater (a weapon that eats entire stars)
As it’s name suggests, the Sun Eater is a weapon that’s eats entire stars. Unfortunately, we don’t know how powerful this is. You should just be able to easily says he is Star Level, but that is not the case. The Sun Eater is a weapon that gets stronger the closer it gets to a sun. After it eats 1 sun. It gains the power to destroy entire Solar Systems. Superman entered the cloud of the Sun Eater before it had the chance to actually eat a sun. Which would put him less than Solar System level. Earlier in the episode, Brainiac 5 states that the sun it was heading for is a red dwarf star. Right after Superman falls out of the cloud, Triplicate Girl says that the Sun Eater will reach the Red Dwarf Star in 30 minutes. A red sun is supposed to generate as little as 1/10,000th the energy of the sun. I previously calculated the energy that the sun is with Duncan’s crew statement. The energy of the sun is 17.424478 Duodecillion joules of energy. 17.424478 Duodecillion / 10,000 = 1.7424478 Undecillion joules of energy. Which puts the energy of an average red dwarf at 5-A large Planet Level. The Red Dwarf was stated by Brainiac 5 to be able to charge the Sun Eater completely. If we assume 1.7424478 Undecillion joules per second of it takes a second to eat the red dwarf. Then 1.7424478 Undecillion / 1,800 seconds (because that’s 30 minutes, and Superman’s feat happened at 30 minutes away). This would mean the energy of the cloud of the Sun Eater had a power of around 968.02656 Nonillion joules of energy. Which is 5-B Planet Level. However, this just an assumption as we don’t (for sure) know the energy of the Sun Eaters Cloud at the time. Which means the energy of this feat could be higher or lower.
