Captain Howdy is a holographic projection created by the Space Station Quavermass 12. He is a part of Lightning Lad's worst fear. A toy owned by a member of Lightning Lad's family.
Captain Howdy became somehow connected to this fear, a part of the simulation put before Lightning Lad by Quavermass 12. As he coward in fear, Captain Howdy transformed into a Lightning Beast.
