Based in New Metropolis, Dr. Neerg was a colleague of Dr. Mar Londo. Neerg secretly procured test subjects for Londo's illegal experiments. After Londo's alleged death, he hacked into Londo's database and stole several personal files to protect his involvement. He was later visited by Timber Wolf and interrogated. The Legion of Superheroes arrived and Neerg was able to escape. Disguised as Neerg, Chameleon Boy directed Timber Wolf to an space ship.
