Gyr is the commanding officer of a Khundian military unit sent to capture the Legion of Superheroes. His squad used specialized restraints, each specifically created to deal with that specific super power. However Infectious Lass used her power to infect them with a virus which switched their powers. This allows them to escape and Brainiac 5 using Infectious Lass powers gives Gyr a stomach infection which effects all 7 stomachs.
