The planet Thanagar revolves around the star, Polaris. Its civilization has a history of militarism and is considered a conqueror race. It was often in conflict with other planets, including Rann and Earth. However, two of its people went on to become super heroes on Earth, Hawkman and Hawkgirl.
The planet survived to the 31st century. While on route to Colu, Brainiac 5 digitized Thanagar. It was restored to normal after his defeat.
